Romance Writers Get Down and Dirty

A notorious video has been circulating the Internet of late, shocking people with its rage and intrinsic violence. No, it’s not the trailer for the new Batman movie (but how awesome does that look?). It’s something far more deplorable, far more dark, and far more…romantic? That’s right. The video below reveals that the nominees for the RITA Awards, the highest honor bestowed by the Romance Writers of America, are out for blood (and little gold statuette shaped like an elegant heroine). As the video explains, the pre-awards smack-talking is a long and time-honored tradition among Romance Writers. This little video is just as taste as the ladies gear up for their annual RITA Awards Ceremony, to be held at the Romance Writers’ Annual National Conference July 30th - August 2nd. Who will win RITA, and who will be clubbed in the head with her? Only these genteel, romantic ladies know.
