Monday Writing Inspiration

TheDailyHustle

Whether you’re a Mac or PC person, Steve Job’s brilliance cannot be denied. Almost everyone has heard the stories of the innovator’s tantrums and business hijinks. So we were surprised to see a softer (and funnier) side to Jobs in this video from a 2005 Stanford graduation ceremony. The sentiments in this speech apply to the writing life quite well: don’t give up, rely on yourself, and realize that life is short. As another brilliant man, Henry David Thoreau, once said: “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you’ve imagined.”

Enjoy this speech and may it inspire you to write great things.

Do you have an inspirational speech or story to share? Why not submit it to Capper’s magazine or The Polishing Stone? Inspire others with your creativity and then perhaps your writing career will be like-wise inspired! WordHustler wishes you the best of luck!
